Fairmont La Hacienda is a destination resort in La Alcaidesa, with the Mediterranean as its backdrop and the Links and Heathland golf courses close to the experience. Rooms, villa suites and larger private villas offer different ways to stay, while the spa, restaurants and family spaces give guests plenty of reasons to spend a day within the resort.
Our starting point would be a conversation about how you want to use the hotel. A couple coming for a few rounds of golf needs a different plan from a family sharing a private pool suite. Choose the right amount of privacy, then leave space for the beach, long lunches and an introduction to nearby Sotogrande.
A good match if…
You want a resort holiday with sea views, golf and wellness, or room for a family to share without everyone living in one bedroom.
Think about your priorities.
Your ideal break revolves around walking out each evening to a busy town centre. This setting rewards a little planning for trips beyond the estate.
YOUR STAY, PERSONALLY CONSIDERED
Tell us what your ideal stay looks like.
A quiet suite, a family escape, great golf or a special occasion. Share what matters and we’ll help shape your shortlist and discuss the details. If a home here is part of the picture, we can plan private viewings around your stay.
The key choice is between the main hotel room categories and accommodation within the resort villas. For a short stay, outlook may matter more than extra rooms. For a longer family holiday, consider the relationship between sleeping areas, living space and the pool. The selection below is not the full villa catalogue; figures are the hotel’s published areas, without an assumed terrace deduction.

A room with the right outlook
Compare the pool, golf and sea-view categories using the specific room offer. Ask about floor, privacy and access before paying for an upgrade: the view you enjoy with morning coffee is a personal preference.
A suite for shared time
A separate lounge can make an enormous difference when bedtimes differ. If choosing a private pool, establish its dimensions, depth and heating arrangements, then check the route to restaurants and the main pools.

Spa at Fairmont La Hacienda · Hotel photography
A spa with a sea outlook
The wellness offering includes six treatment rooms, hammams, a sauna, hydrotherapy, hot and cold immersion facilities and a yoga studio. There is also a gym available around the clock to hotel guests. We would reserve a treatment rather than simply hope to find a convenient slot after arrival. Ask which circuit access is included in your chosen rate and confirm the current age policy; the site publishes date-specific restrictions.
Pool days and the beach
The hotel advertises an outdoor pool and a heated infinity pool, alongside its coastal setting. For a winter visit, ask which pool is heated and operating; for a family trip, establish the rules for each pool. Pack your plans around the season and the weather rather than expecting every outdoor experience to work in exactly the same way throughout the year.
Two different golf rounds
La Hacienda offers 36 holes across the Links and Heathland courses. Links brings the coastline into the round, while the Dave Thomas-designed Heathland course uses higher ground, valleys and water features. Guest green-fee arrangements are published separately from accommodation. Have preferred tee times, handicap requirements, equipment and cancellation terms settled before the trip.
Room for children and teenagers
The Kids & Teens Club offers creative play for younger children and a separate teen space with consoles, games and karaoke. Children under four need a parent or guardian alongside them. Padel is also available in the resort. Ask about the actual club timetable, supervised sessions and charges for your dates so adults and children can each enjoy time at their own pace.
AT THE TABLE
Make room for a memorable meal.
Dining at Fairmont La Hacienda · Hotel photography
Dalmar
Benito Gómez’s contemporary Andalusian grill is the dinner to plan when food is part of the reason for the trip. Regional ingredients, cooking in view of diners and the wine selection make it a different occasion from a casual poolside meal. Discuss dietary requirements and the current menu when booking, and leave the evening unhurried.
Il Faro Trattoria
An Italian direction, sharing plates and a setting suited to meals together make Il Faro a practical anchor for the stay. It is also where the hotel directs guests for breakfast. Compare your meal plan with how you actually want to eat: a family expecting early dinners may value a different arrangement from a couple dining out most evenings.
La Cala and the resort’s social spaces
La Cala is the hotel’s chiringuito concept, centred on beachside dining and seafood cooked over fire. Umbra offers a poolside alternative, while Vista Lounge is designed for drinks and lighter dishes. Opening patterns can change with the season. Confirm the venues operating during your visit before treating the published dining collection as a nightly itinerary.
THE GUEST PERSPECTIVE
What guests say.
Recent accounts bring the views and spaces to life, with the most useful details often coming from how guests used the resort.
Made to feel at home
Eric described five enjoyable days, highlighting knowledgeable, friendly staff, comfortable accommodation and the food.

More than a view
Kiantki praised the outlook from rooms and restaurants, and especially enjoyed Pilates, yoga, the spa, outdoor pool and teen club.

A family’s own space
Noelle enjoyed a week in a peaceful sea-view villa, friendly staff and pools, and appreciated the kitchen adapting a children’s menu for her baby.
Noelle M. · ALL Accor confirmed guest review · 15 October 2026
Worth knowing
Noelle also wanted more dining variety. Peter C. reported poor restaurant service initially, followed by substantial improvement, while Napaporn S. found dinner service difficult. These are dated experiences, not a statement that every meal is affected.

The appeal is space, outlook and a choice of ways to spend the day. Plan dining and family arrangements in advance, particularly if a specific venue or service is central to the trip.
Explore a longer stay
Could this be your next chapter?
Available homes in La Alcaidesa. A starting point for a personal search, with viewings planned around your stay.
La Alcaidesa offers a useful contrast with Sotogrande. Stay here for the coastal setting, then compare the neighbourhoods that might suit your own longer-term plans.
La Alcaidesa
Look beyond the resort to the streets, beach access and local everyday facilities. If sea views are high on your property brief, also think about wind exposure, outdoor shelter and how you would use a terrace outside summer.
Sotogrande
Make a separate outing to explore Sotogrande’s coastal and inland areas. The marina, established residential streets and golf-side neighbourhoods offer different routines; seeing them in one visit makes the trade-offs easier to judge.
Viewings with a purpose
We would start with a short, relevant selection rather than a full day of houses. Tell us what you like about your stay and what you would change for everyday life, and we can arrange the property conversation around that.
BEFORE YOU COME
The practical details.
A little planning helps you choose the right room, the right dates and the right pace.
The hotel publishes check-in from 3 pm and check-out by noon. If flight times leave a gap, agree a practical arrival or departure plan in advance rather than count on an unconfirmed early room or late checkout.
Make the transfers work
Think about the full itinerary before choosing a rental car or private transfers. A resort-focused stay and a visit with several Sotogrande appointments have different transport needs. Allow comfortable margins around flights and any border crossing.
Ask about the exact villa
For a multigenerational stay, request a floor plan, the number of proper bedrooms and bathrooms, and the route between the villa and shared facilities. Discuss mobility requirements directly; a broad category label is not enough to establish suitability.
Keep the inclusions clear
Confirm breakfast, golf, spa circuit access, private-pool heating and cancellation terms in the written proposal. Packages and room-only offers should be compared on their full contents. Reserve essential experiences before filling the remaining days with optional outings.
