Nobu Hotel Marbella

For evenings that become part of the holiday.

WHY IT BELONGS HERE

Marbella with the volume turned up.

Nobu makes particular sense when restaurants, conversation and a late dinner are central to the trip. Set within the Puente Romano resort on the Golden Mile, it brings Japanese-inspired interiors to a distinctly Mediterranean setting. The attraction is being able to move between your room, the beach and a lively dining scene without organising an outing every time. This is a hotel to choose for its social energy, with room position an important part of the decision.

We would build a stay around one or two restaurant reservations, then leave daylight hours open for the sea and the wider Golden Mile. For a couple combining a holiday with a property search, that gives the visit two useful perspectives: the coast at leisure during the day, and the neighbourhood after dark. A room overlooking La Plaza puts you close to the atmosphere; a quieter position may suit an earlier bedtime.

A good match if…

Couples and friends who enjoy contemporary interiors, destination dining and being close to the evening scene.

Think about your priorities.

Light sleepers should discuss the exact room position before booking. A lively resort address and a peaceful bedroom are separate decisions.

What we would consider

The extra space of a Junior Suite is useful for unhurried mornings or a longer visit, but it does not automatically make the room quieter. Ask for both the category and the outlook in writing. For a group, compare a shared suite with separate rooms according to bathroom privacy, sleeping arrangements and the time everyone expects to return at night.

Selected rooms & suites
Category Published size What sets it apart
Deluxe Room 35–40 m² A straightforward starting point for two; compare the outlook with the Plaza category.
Deluxe Room Plaza 30–35 m² A more immediate connection to the dining square and its evening atmosphere.
Junior Suite 50–55 m² Open-plan sitting space and a terrace, with garden or Plaza outlooks.
Nobu Suite 105 m² A larger option when time in the suite is part of the holiday.
Four Bedroom Suite 250 m² An option for a group wanting several bedrooms within one arrangement.

Published areas may include outdoor space. Confirm the exact layout, occupancy and inclusions for the room offered.

Everyday comforts

The Junior Suite specification includes a king bed, rainfall shower, espresso machine, yukata robes and 24-hour Nobu in-room dining. We would prioritise the terrace and the room location over an upgrade based only on its name.

BEYOND THE ROOM

Time well spent.

Beach and pool time

Nobu's official offering includes a pool and access to the wider seaside resort experience. Decide whether you want your day centred on a lounger or on the beach, then establish which spaces and reservations are included with your room.

Six Senses Spa

The resort's Six Senses Spa provides a separate reason to slow the pace. If a treatment is important to the trip, reserve it alongside your preferred dinner rather than relying on an opening after arrival.

Tennis and fitness

A tennis club and training facilities broaden the appeal beyond restaurants. Court bookings, coaching and fitness access are worth clarifying individually, especially if you plan to keep a regular training routine.

A social resort

The dining square is part of the experience rather than a distant attraction. Leave room for an evening without a car, but tell the hotel if quiet sleeping conditions matter more than being directly above the activity.

AT THE TABLE

Make a meal of the occasion.

Nobu Marbella

Japanese cuisine is the obvious starting point, with Nobu Matsuhisa's restaurant at the centre of the proposition. Book your preferred sitting ahead of time; staying in the hotel should not be treated as a guarantee of a particular table.

An evening around La Plaza

The wider Puente Romano dining scene offers enough choice for a short stay. We would alternate a planned dinner with a more relaxed evening, avoiding an itinerary that leaves no time to enjoy the resort itself.

A short break that worked

Sam E described warm, efficient service and a spacious Junior Suite during a February 2026 stay.

Worth knowing

Sam E also cautioned that a courtyard-facing room was noisy at night. Other October 2026 accounts described disturbance from restaurant activity. The practical response is to make your preferred room position part of the reservation.

Our takeaway

A strong choice for dining and atmosphere when you select the bedroom as carefully as the restaurants.
